Wikipedia turns 15 this year, and one of the many celebratory events happening in January is the #1Lib1Ref (One Librarian, One Reference) initiative, sponsored by the Wikipedia Library. From January 15th-23rd, librarians are encouraged to use their research powers to add just one good citation to sections in Wikipedia tagged with the “citation needed” request. English Wikipedia provides friendly tools like the Citation Hunt to held contributors find the spots where high-quality research will be most helpful.
The Digital Scholarship Group will support #1Lib1Ref by holding an informal drop-in session for Snell librarians from 2-3pm in the Digital Scholarship Commons Media Lounge on Friday January 22nd. We welcome in-person or online participants!
