Editing Objects
Editing basic metadata: Go to the object's full metadata page and click the "Edit" tab Edit the desired metadata, and click Submit
Editing full metadata:
Go to [Fedora Admin] Find the core record Open the MODS datastream Edit the desired metadata, click save Open the Dublin Core datastream Edit the desired metadata, click save
Moving Objects
Get the PID for the core record of the item you would like to move and for the destination collection
Go to the Fedora admin page
In the Object search panel, enter the core record PID in the "Open Object/PID" search box and click "Open"
Open the RELS-EXT datastream
In the <ns1:isMemberOf> element, change the collection PID in the rdf:resource="info:fedora/neu:XXXXXXXX" attribute to the destination collection's PID, then save your changes
Open the properties datastream
Change the collection PID in the <parent_id> element to the PID for the destination collection, then save your changes
Deleting Objects
Get the PID for the core record of the file you would like to delete
Go to the Fedora search page
Search for the Core record and gather the PIDs for all associated files that need to be deleted:
- Thumbnail
- Master file
- Any derivative files
Go to the Fedora admin page
For each PID (core file PID and associated file PIDs):
- In the Object search panel, enter the PID in the "Open Object/PID" search box and click "Open"
- Review the metadata to confirm you're deleting the correct object
- Click "Purge Object"
Repeat for the thumbnail, master and any derivatives, and for the core file.
