ETD Dates
Properly catalog ETD dates
- ETD Dates:
- Accepted Date = dateOther - taken from the title page
- Award Date = dateIssued - select appropriate date from list: January, May, or August
- Copyright date = copyrightDate - Only add a copyright date if the ETD has a copyright statement
- Embargo date = rights metadata, contact DRS staff
- ETD date note: Consider including a note with a proper display label that describes the various dates, ie:
<mods:note type='Award'>Thesis was submitted in 2014. Degree was awarded in January 2015.</mods:note>

Communities (March 2017 - Sweeney)
- Add/create descriptions for DRS communities.
Associated Files Cleanup (March 2015 - Grant)
- There are 135 DRS records with associated files attached.
- The associated files for these 135 records can be found by searching the DRS for "Supplemental files for" (quotation marks included).
- The associated files have been compressed into a single zip file.
- Download the .zip file to view the contents of the file.
- Each zip file can contain any number and type of file (1 spreadsheet, several .tiffs, another zip file, etc.).
- Using the XML editor tab, a table of contents or note field should be added to the associated file record (not the parent record) to indicate the contents of the .zip file.
- For example, <note>File contains 1 .tiff and 2 .xlsx files.</note>; <tableOfContents>1 tiff – 2 .xlsx</tableOfContents> (RADS decision).
- An easy way to organize the project is to add the 135 associated file records to a Set ("Save for later") and remove the files from the Set as they are edited.
DRS metadata records with validation errors (February 2015 - Jergovic)
There are currently 41 records in the DRS with descriptive metadata validation errors. These records still display, but need to be fixed. Error details can be found in this spreadsheet:
