== For New Project Applications, Accepted ==

Dear [name],

Thank you for submitting a new project application to the DSG. After reviewing your

application, we have decided that your project is a good fit for the DSG and would like

to schedule an intake meeting to further discuss your project and its needs. Please let

us know what times you will be available during the upcoming weeks.

We also welcome you to invite any additional members of your project to attend the

intake meeting. Just let us know the name and project role of those who will be in attendance.

Before your intake meeting, please review the document attached to this email. It contains

a standard list of questions that will help you prepare for your intake meeting. This will help us

focus the meeting and ensure that all important topics are covered in a timely manner.

== For GitHub Repository Requests, Received ==

Thank you for your request. We'll be happy to set up a GitHub repository for your project.

There are two additional points we need to confirm with you first:

1. Public vs. private repositories

Do you want your GitHub repository to be public or private? By default, DSG repositories are

public but we do have a small number of private repositories we can allocate when needed.

If you'd like a private repository, please let us know why the data needs to be private.

This setting can be changed later if your project's needs change.

2. GitHub user accounts

In getting started with GitHub, the first step is for you to create a personal GitHub account.

Once you have an account, we can create a repository for you within the DSG organization,

and add you as an administrator for that repository. Then you'll be able to add further users

from your project team. If you already have a GitHub account, please let us know your user

name. If you don't have one, please create one by visiting https://github.com and click

"Sign up for GitHub," then send us your user name.

Once your account and repository are set up, you may find it helpful to read through

our "[http://dsg.neu.edu/wiki/Git_beginners_guide Beginner's Guide to Git]." We'll also be happy to set up

a training meeting with you and your project to help you get started.
