Linked Data Ontologies and Vocabularies

• Linked Open Vocabularies (LOV): Entry point to high quality and reusable vocabularies to describe Linked Data.
• Semantic Publishing and Referencing (SPAR) Ontologies: A suite of ontology modules for the creation of RDF metadata for every aspect of semantic publishing and referencing (including FaBio, BiRO, PSO, etc).
• FRBR-aligned Bibliographic Ontology (FaBiO): Ontology for recording and publishing on the Semantic Web bibliographic records of scholarly endeavors.
• Bibliographic Reference Ontology (BiRO): Ontology for defining bibliographic records, bibliographic references, and their compilation into bibliographic collections and bibliographic lists, respectively.
• Publishing Status Ontology (PSO): Ontology for characterizing the publication status of a document or other publication entity at each of the various stages in the publishing process.
• Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) Metadata Terms: Vocabulary defining general metadata attributes such as title, creator, date, and subject.
• Bibliographic Ontology (BIBO): Provides main concepts and properties for describing citations and bibliographic references (i.e. quotes, books, articles, etc) on the Semantic Web.
• Library of Congress Authorities and Vocabularies: Commonly found standards and vocabularies promulgated by the Library of Congress, including data values and controlled vocabularies.
• Friend Of A Friend (FOAF): Vocabulary defining terms for describing persons, their activities, and their relations to other people and objects.

• Organization Ontology: Describes a core ontology for organizational structures, aimed at supporting linked data publishing of organizational information across a number of domains.
• CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model (CRM): Provides definitions and a formal structure for describing the implicit and explicit concepts and relationships used in cultural heritage documentation.
