DH Open Office Hours/NULab Workshop with special guest Dr. Jacqueline Wernimont

March 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Jacqueline Wernimont, founding co-Director of the HS Collab and assistant professor of English at Arizona State University will host a workshop on “Building Digital Feminist Communities.” This event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP by emailing Sarah Connell (sa.connellnortheasternedu) if you are planning to attend.

Please note this is an extended DH Open Office Hours, and will run from 12 – 2 PM.

Digital Humanities Open Office Hours are held each week in the Digital Scholarship Commons (on the second floor of Snell Library).

DH Open Office Hours are opportunities for students, faculty members, and librarians to discuss recent developments in the field of digital humanities and their own research. These are informal, conversational meetings held every week, and they are designed in part to be spaces where students and scholars new to digital humanities might ask questions about research topics and tools. Informal discussion topics/optional readings are occasionally circulated before meetings if a particular topic seems interesting to a large number of people. We’ll also have some guests from local institutions/other parts of Northeastern stopping by this semester at times.

For discussion questions and more information, please see the DH Open Office Hours Wiki page.

You should come to DH Open Office Hours if:

-You’re a member of the Northeastern community who is interested in learning more about digital humanities

-You have a research project or an idea that might need some informal feedback or information about relevant digital tools.

-You’re a student or faculty member who is already doing cool stuff in the field of digital humanities.

For more information, please contact our Digital Scholarship Group Coordinator, Abbie Levesque ( You can also follow the DSG on Twitter (@NU_DSG).

DH Open Office Hours are organized by Northeastern’s Digital Scholarship Group and The NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks.

DH Open Office Hours will generally be held on Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30 PM (in the Digital Scholarship Commons) for the Fall 2016  semester. Visit the DSG’s Events Calendar for the most up-to-date information on scheduling.
