- Introductions of new staff (Colleen and Abbie). We are happy to have them!
- What is transition process for Jim-to-Abbie? To start with, figure out which meetings Abbie can attend to get to know everyone: encoders, WWP, etc. Seems to be general consensus that encoder meetings are pretty fun. Also want to plan library walk-around introduction for Abbie, and she will want many future meetings with Jim who knows all the ins-and-outs.
- Brief discussion of computing resources for part-time staff, possibility of PC/Mac that can be based in DSG for part-time staff use.
- Introduction of main DSG projects for Abbie, give a sense of where work focus is now.
- Relatively long discussions of GIS and Digital Production Coordinator candidates. General agreement that both pools are good. (Discussions not included in these minutes for confidentiality.)
- Julia has added DSG meeting agendas to the meeting list page, with the idea that as we come up with agenda items we can add them to that page, and have a sense of what the upcoming topics are.
- Early adjournment at noon so that Julia and Abbie can meet further about DSG Coordinator transition.
