TAPAS is considering applying to the TAPAS grant. There was initial trepidation that this project would be too much like SHARP, but since SHARP is not yet funded, that worry can be put aside. Self imposed deadline to ORA of September 10th, actual deadline to the NEH of September 16th. Meetings upcoming for the team that's working on this.

The DRS shut itself down, and is still not back up. It's pointed at staging in the meantime, until David returns. Shortcodes are ready and beautiful, with a gallery and several other functions. There may also be a startup grant for this - in order to plan a larger project.

The presentation proposal for the DRS Project Toolkit in Vancouver was accepted!

Jim attended a conference and presented on Our Marathon and Crowdsourcing. Hamilton College did a five year reflection that was particularly notable, and there were several other project of interest, including one on Instagram essays and another on using TEI to encode political cartoons.

There is a conference on XML markup coming up that Syd would like us to submit a poster for.
