Bahara will be making a class presentation on gas leaks (?)
EN dept hired Ellen Cushman last year (from MI State)
- has IMLS planning grant on mss in native Amer languages
- working on a resource that gathers records about libraries holdings
- would present these to native speakers for work on the transcriptions, etc.
- this model of pulling items in from multiple repositories seems important (and cool)
- planning on another IMLS grant for next wave
- similarity w/ SHARP
HC has 8 events lined up for open access month
Abbie has first couple of open office hours planned, Jim will be featured guest at the 1st one on 09-30.
- The one on 10-07 will have an open access theme
- May out grow this space pretty soon
