Meeting notes

  • The WWP is hours away from deploying their new exhibits! That will go out on the blog, twitter, and email.
  • Amanda went to a copyright workshop. This brough up a question for the toolkit.
  • What kind of, if any, re-use and licensing statements we can make for our toolkit projects?
  • Be very careful with creative commons - culture is changing to more open, we’re trying to push CC.
  • We would address this sort of thing to the general council. The DSG needs a suite of clearly defined and described policy options for projects to start off with.
  • Decided: We will make up a proposal and rubric regarding what licensing we release project materials and software under them.
  • We will come back to this on the 17th.

Toolkit Presentation:

  • Sadow, designed by Param and Greg
  • Arader: designed by colleen
  • Archives: Designed by Aubrey Butts.
  • Ours is light and easy compared to other similar projects.
  • Six months from now: right up a brief explanation with the work that when in and what the features are. Developer times, etc
  • Next step: figure out what are we doing in 2016. Finish our developement for now, put out a CFP.
  • We will be retooling the project page to include toolkit things and link out to those websites, and on the 7th we can talk about revisions.
