  • Sarah is doing the Women and the Renaissance Body class, and needs a student key for Oxygen for an encoding assignment
  • Cornell has requested a TEI workshop in May! WWP will be holding it in Ithaca. Temporary tap access to the students who are working on projects
  • PT doctoral students are still a pretty big problem, study groups and practice groups can be noisy.
  • They are leaving their things in the space, user services has talked to Bouve about getting them space in their own department.
  • Problems with people taking up encoding lab space. Putting up a screensaver might be useful - “this lab is for DSG projects”
  • We are looking for solutions for disruptive study groups, including signs.
  • Re-shelvers should have access to the space.

Toolkit Check-In

  • The CRRJ is excited, will most likely become a toolkit project.
  • Multipage object support for use with the Catskills, and a deploy script to auto update sites
  • Minor enhancements and the like can be viewed on Github
  • Tim Dammon with the NIEC is doing development work specifically to make the toolkit work for the NIEC site.
  • Around May/June we will be incorporating GIS and timelines for the toolkit
  • Trying to make the interface for shortcodes look nice.
  • We already run Wave on the Toolkit sites for accessibility - needs more contrast in link colors
  • Also need to run Wave on the final version of sites.
  • Our updates are for functionality and features mostly
  • Request: making sure that there are ways to download all items from a collection or whatever.
  • Projects may or may not be a place to make stuff accessible in that way.
  • Some users may not know the DRS exists
  • Are there things we know that info discovery people should be able to find out at a project level? Perhaps a spot on the credits page?
  • No word on making Arader public yet
  • First full cycle of pilots is ending
  • We will talk to projects to evaluate the process.
  • We will develop a quick questionnaire. We will spend time brainstorming questions, etc in the toolkit meeting and then report back
  • Idea: Basics on APIs and how they work would be awesome.
