- Sarah is doing the Women and the Renaissance Body class, and needs a student key for Oxygen for an encoding assignment
- Cornell has requested a TEI workshop in May! WWP will be holding it in Ithaca. Temporary tap access to the students who are working on projects
- PT doctoral students are still a pretty big problem, study groups and practice groups can be noisy.
- They are leaving their things in the space, user services has talked to Bouve about getting them space in their own department.
- Problems with people taking up encoding lab space. Putting up a screensaver might be useful - “this lab is for DSG projects”
- We are looking for solutions for disruptive study groups, including signs.
- Re-shelvers should have access to the space.
Toolkit Check-In
- The CRRJ is excited, will most likely become a toolkit project.
- Multipage object support for use with the Catskills, and a deploy script to auto update sites
- Minor enhancements and the like can be viewed on Github
- Tim Dammon with the NIEC is doing development work specifically to make the toolkit work for the NIEC site.
- Around May/June we will be incorporating GIS and timelines for the toolkit
- Trying to make the interface for shortcodes look nice.
- We already run Wave on the Toolkit sites for accessibility - needs more contrast in link colors
- Also need to run Wave on the final version of sites.
- Our updates are for functionality and features mostly
- Request: making sure that there are ways to download all items from a collection or whatever.
- Projects may or may not be a place to make stuff accessible in that way.
- Some users may not know the DRS exists
- Are there things we know that info discovery people should be able to find out at a project level? Perhaps a spot on the credits page?
- No word on making Arader public yet
- First full cycle of pilots is ending
- We will talk to projects to evaluate the process.
- We will develop a quick questionnaire. We will spend time brainstorming questions, etc in the toolkit meeting and then report back
- Idea: Basics on APIs and how they work would be awesome.
