  • Current Projects: A Proud Past - launched and ready! Sets are ready to be used, they just need to make them.
  • Sadow project and Picturing the World are in their final stages.
  • DMC is working on their site - planning, developing pages
  • Sarah is working on the Catskills site, wireframing and site planning
  • HAC - They have videos we can’t ingest without storage, and now they are figuring out how to do digitization - archives will digitize, HAC will do the metadata.
  • Archives work in the toolkit: when we do toolkit projects, archives can do normal digitization with say, 100 items. But generally, our stance is that the archives can’t digitize for them, and then they can negotiate from that point.
  • Archives do not want pieces to be done by groups, because objects may be rare or fragile. They need to be told to have funding somehow for digitizing.
  • We should make a decision tree for digitization
  • Assessment process: Making things more on a scale of 1-10, less narrative writing should be required.
  • Annie Swafford helped started the SUNY New Paltz DH center.
  • It focuses right now on workshop and training
  • They just got funding for the DASH Lab for computers, sound booths.
  • Also going to do Open Office Hours, they've only had DH for about 2 years, but growing quickly.
  • Advisory board - the DASHboard gives input on things, like who speaks, professional development and what’s going to happen with the space
