  • Ashley is giving a talk at BU on the 30th
  • We will likely discontinue the mail bin since it hardly gets used
  • In two weeks, Sarah and Syd will go to Cornell to teach a TEI workshop.
  • DHSI is in mid june - Syd will be at that.
  • Julia will be away giving a workshop at Middlebury in VT.
  • Syd will be attending the TEI council meeting.
  • Today and tomorrow, Bahare will be attending a workshop at MIT
  • The weekly staff meeting will stay at the same place and time
  • Steven wanted to know if there would be interest in a library staff workshop on Adobe Illustrator, which people agreed seemed like a good idea.
  • We will have to check in to see if we have access to that software
  • The CCIS class we partnered with has finished the mapping and timeline shortcodes.
  • Many options available, including boundaries, scale increments, grouping and legends, as well as basic story features.
  • Maps and timelines can add in outside objects using a URL, which we may develop on further.
  • We were very pleased in working with them and they won their class award!
  • Would partner with the class again if we can give them a development bit that is easily chunked off from the main repository.
  • Patrick has talked in the past about having a regular student programmer. If students have expertise in PHP than it's a possibility, given our recent experience.
  • Final proposal for accepted CERES proposals was given - we took on six projects, in order to move development forward. Emails will go out Monday and we will have preliminary meetings with the groups.
