  • Eli attended DLF and his talk went well.
  • Bahare has the GIS day event upcoming on November 16th.
  • Ashley announced they’ve pushed back the WWP Women Writers in Review publishing because of the elections.
  • Discussion on Charon roadmap:
  • Preliminary design work is done, and the whiteboard photos are in the DSG Only Docs folder.
  • Spec will start getting written on November 15th by Patrick and Julia.
  • We are hoping to have both a spec and wireframe done before winter break begins.
  • We will begin work coding and getting the system standing up in the new year, including getting familiar with Fedora 4.
  • We are also working out how to model complex objects.
  • We will keep a small set of test files as we build up.
  • After and interface for Charon and some test projects are built, we will begin work integrating into CERES.
  • Consistent feedback through the process from projects will be vital for us. ECDA and other projects should be involved as we build the interface. Steven should also be consulted during this time.
  • We can use the IMLS Diversity and Design forum takeaways in building this up as well.
