  • The Cultures of Reception poster is up on the first floor. It's very beautiful and worth viewing!
  • The WFNX recordings from the Boston Phoenix are now available in the DRS.
  • The Dean's Council is changing how they thing of strategic planning.
  • In place of specific goals, they are changing to using foci, and that will change how the DSG frames its own strategic plan.
  • Performance assessment dates will be mailed out soon.
  • Women Writers in Review will be presented at the All Staff meeting for the library.
  • Eli and Sarah worked with the CCIS class again last semester, this time on two projects: One involving a Ruby on Rails interface for TAPAS, and the other involving enhancements to the CERES: Exhibit Toolkit.
  • The Toolkit got updates to its mapping and timeline featured, including collection display in maps and timelines, faceted searching within a map, and color selections for legends.
  • Overall successful though it needed more ramp-up
  • TAPAS group was building a basic interface.
  • However, due to the complexity of the TAPAS system, its inherited code, and the fact that the students were learning Ruby as they went, they had less success than the other group.
  • We will likely work with them again, and in June we will review project ideas.
  • CFP was reviewed: overall, ready to launch.
