  • Caroline is joining us at this meeting for the first time - everyone went around and introduced themselves.
  • There's been a good amount of interest in technology for publishing scholarly monographs digitally. We will be assembling a working group on this subject, and Dan Cohen has agreed to fund an RA as part of this to report on next steps.
  • CSBE (Center for the Study of the Boston Experience) has been approved by the University President. It will be cohering over the next 6 months. The Mellon Foundation has also expressed interest and we will be applying to them for funding.
  • We as a group want to explore CSBE's relationship to other groups like ourselves and NULab
  • After a short discussion about Slack, we have decided to migrate into the paid LTS Slack.
  • We discussed the Ellen Cushman and Elizabeth Dillon articles - Cushman: http://ezproxy.neu.edu/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/stable/24238145?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents - Dillon:

  • Much of the conversation focused around the needs of a decolonized archive versus a diverse archive and the hegemonic systems of thinking we may impose on objects.
