Session 3: Encoding practice
The following set of exercises will walk you through the basics of encoding a text.
Sample texts:
Exercise 0: basic encoding of a short prose letter
Exercise 1: basic encoding of a poem (use poem sample 1 above)
Exercise 2: a more complex prose example (use the prose/letter sample above)
Exercise 3: drama (use drama sample above)
Exercise 4: more complex verse (use poem sample 2 above)
Exercise 5: rendition and the appearance of documents
Exercise 6: title pages and tables of contents (use drama sample above)
