Printing for Proofreading

Note: This page describes the procedure for printing encoded texts for proofreading with tags. Tagless printing (formerly used for second proofing round) requires processing as if for Web publication, as described here.

Process

  1. Open the file in emacs and run wwp-break-long-lines (in the PostProc menu). Save and check back in.
  2. Open the file in TextWrangler or BBEdit and save a copy locally.
  3. Remove indentation: select entire file, and type Command-\[ (the Shift-left command in the Text menu) until all indentation is removed.
  4. Set display to "soft wrap", to show line numbers, and set the text color settings as given below.
  5. In the print dialog box choose "Show line numbers" in the "Text Printing" in "Copies and Pages..." menu.
